Last week I opened up an e-mails sent to us from the Head Office of GBG. It had nothing to do with product, how to generate more leads, or about our pay plan. It was simply about serving others.
Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s theory of relativity to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love. And you can be that servant.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This needs to be our mind set in all areas of our lives – with our family, friends, in business and work. Everyday let us start by asking for opportunities to serve people that we come in contact with. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms 1 Peter 4:10 of the Christian bible (NIV). One who lives their life looking first to meet the needs of those around them and putting others first will find blessings and rewards come back without limit.
In our network marketing businesses we need to be looking to improve the lives others, whether that be through the products that we offer or the business opportunity that we provide. Look for ways in which you can benefit another who is having difficulty, not expecting anything in return. See your business as a way to serve others, to improve their lives in some way. The impact you have on the lives of those around you will be priceless.
If our only reason for approaching another individual is to see how we can benefit from them we will find the building of our business difficult. People know when they are being used or when one is approaching them with their best interest at heart. As you are looking to build a team you want to attract people that desire to serve others. As you gain success in this industry people will follow your example, so show yourself as a leader who serves and you will build a strong team that will be a joy to work with.
